Crash Reports

 
 

Whenever apps crash, a crash report is created on your iPad.  These reports often give important information as to where and why the crash happened.


To get your crash reports, first sync your iPad to your computer, then locate the reports using the path for your OS below:



Mac OS X

In the Finder, choose “Go to Folder...” from the Go menu at the top of the screen.  Paste in the following location:

~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/


Open the folder that has the name of your iPad and search for

the file that begins with:  ClassOrganizer< date of crash >.crash


Windows XP

C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\<your iPad’s name>\ClassOrganizer< date>.crash


Windows Vista & Windows 7

C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\<your iPad’s name>\ClassOrganizer< date >.crash



Once you’ve located the files*, email the one(s) from the time of the crash to:     support@completeclassorganizer.com


If you cannot find any crash reports with the correct time, look for a file named “LowMemory... .log” with the date and time of the crash instead. This means that the OS may have shut the app down because it needed the memory.
